Foamed glass aggregate is a lightweight inorganic porous material made from recycled waste glass. Through crushing, grinding, formula mixing, high-temperature foaming at 850–900°C, cooling, and screening, waste glass is transformed into a high-value green building material.
It supports glass recycling and resource reuse, perfectly matching the development goals of carbon reduction, sponge cities, ecological restoration, and sustainable construction. The product combines multiple functions, including lightweight structure, water permeability, water retention, adsorption, purification, thermal insulation, and long-term durability.
All raw materials come from the Group’s recycling system, including Hunan Jiachen waste glass recycling base, Xinghua Hongyang, and Shandong Xianglu production facilities, ensuring a closed-loop industrial chain, stable supply, and controllable quality.
With a bulk density of only 150–600 kg/m³, foamed glass aggregate is much lighter than gravel and volcanic rock. It greatly reduces the load on roofs, foundation pits, filter tanks, and green infrastructure projects. It has stable compressive strength and does not powder or collapse after long-term soaking, offering a service life more than three times longer than perlite or vermiculite.
With a porosity of 70%–90% and water absorption of 25%–120%, the material provides excellent water infiltration, retention, storage, and purification performance. It allows rainwater to quickly penetrate while maintaining long-term water storage, making it ideal for sponge city systems.
Its large specific surface area provides a natural carrier for microorganisms. In constructed wetlands and wastewater treatment systems, it helps remove nitrogen and phosphorus efficiently, with ammonia nitrogen and total phosphorus removal rates exceeding 85%, reducing the need for additional carbon sources and lowering operating costs.
Made from pure inorganic silicate material, foamed glass aggregate contains no heavy metals and no radioactive substances. It does not decompose or leach harmful substances in acidic or alkaline environments. With strong chemical stability, weather resistance, and corrosion resistance, it can be used for many years as filter media or landscaping substrate without frequent replacement.
The product is made from 100% recycled solid waste glass, helping reduce landfill pollution and promote circular resource utilization. The high-temperature production process releases no harmful volatile substances, making it safe for roof greening, indoor gardening, ecological restoration, and green building projects.

Foamed glass aggregate also offers fertilizer retention, slow release, thermal insulation, and sound absorption properties. One material can be used across water treatment, landscaping, construction, flooring, and environmental engineering applications.
Suitable for constructed wetlands, black and odorous river restoration, ecological filter beds, and wastewater treatment systems. It can filter suspended solids, support microbial growth, and help remove nitrogen and phosphorus from water.

Ideal for permeable walkways, permeable flooring, rain gardens, grass swales, urban roads, and sunken green spaces. It helps reduce urban flooding and ease the heat island effect.
Used for roof garden drainage layers, tree pit aeration layers, transplanting support, potted plants, soilless cultivation, orchid and flower substrates, park flower beds, slope greening, and soil improvement.

Suitable for roof insulation, lightweight backfilling, basement drainage layers, soundproof walls, tunnel sound-absorbing filling, and noise reduction applications.
Can be used as aquaculture biofilter media, waste gas adsorption filler, and supporting aggregate for environmental solid waste treatment projects.
